SPCA

100 panel 31 kW system. Looking for long term cost savings for a non-profit organization. Solar was part of the retrofit that included updated ventilation and other energy saving measures.

Pat Cameron, director of the Saskatoon SPCA, describes the special needs of the facility that make solar power such a good fit:  "Due to chemicals, animal and other waste, water consumption, and 24/7 operations, animal shelters have a huge environmental footprint and consume massive amounts of energy.  Both the financial savings and carbon reduction are wins for the shelter, which as a charity is keenly interested in control of expenses."

The SPCA solar power system won the Rob Dumont Project of the Year Award in 2017.
